Helena McFarland
Helena Sommers is the Director of Fancy Feet by Helena. She has been dancing for 23 years and instructing for 13 of those years. She is a member of Dance Masters of America, Dance Masters of Ohio and she is Safety Certified by USA Gymnastics. Helena has attended Dance Masters of America Teachers training School. She enjoys keeping up with the latest styles of dance technique by attending various dance seminars and workshops throughout Ohio, where she studies under some of the top dance instructors in the country. Helena is a former member of the Blades Dance Team, which performs at the Cleveland Lumberjacks games, and she was the choreographer and advisor for the Youngstown Hawks Dance Team. In high school, Helena was a cheerleader for 4 years and her senior year she was chosen as an All Star cheerleader. Recently, she has choreographed "Grease" at Crestwood High School. In her free time she loves spending time with her Husband, Steve and all of her pets, Ewok, Saul, Chubba, Duke and Squeeler.

Charlene Linek
Charlene Linek has been dancing for Six years. She enjoys tap, jazz, and ballet classes, and completed her Cecchetti I student exam. She has been assisting with Toddler Programs, Acro, and Tap classes for three years. Charlene is currently a junior at Kent State University, where she is studying Fashion Merchandising and Marking, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Charlene is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society. In her free time she enjoys shopping, four-wheeling, hiking, and spending time with her three-year-old niece and her two-year-old nephew.

Alice K. Dugan
Alice K. Dugan, otherwise known as Katie, is a Dance major at the University of Akron. She has been taking ballet ever since she was 5 years old. From age 11, she studied under Mrs. Regina Vallejos at the ballet Regina in the Philippines. There she trained for exams under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) passing the 6th, 7th and 8th grade exams. Also in the Philippines, she learned folk dances of the Philippine culture. When she came to America, she discovered jazz and tap through Helena. She has a great passion, appreciation and enjoyment of dance and is determined to refine her talent as a dancer. She hopes to instill these feelings into her students. Other ! than dance, she enjoys reading, writing, swimming and traveling.
